ProAgni ProTect S

Optimises sheep performance on grain

All products are free from antibiotics including ionophores*

ProAgni ProTect S pellet is designed to be fed with cereal grain supplements for use in feedlots and drought lots, supplementary feeding or weaning.  Adding ProTect S to an animal’s diet has the potential to increase growth rates and decrease the time it takes to reach market specifications.

Why use ProTect S?

  • Provides buffering against lactic acidosis
  • Helps livestock reach genetic potential for
    increased production
  • Reduces methane
  • Meets increasing demand for antibiotic free meat

ProTect S contains:

  • Acid Buf, a highly effective rumen buffer, containing a pure source of bio-available minerals for rumen efficiency
  • Optiwise® a patent pending additive of organic and inorganic bio-available minerals, trace elements, vitamins, probiotic extracts, bioactives and antioxidative compounds, for maximising animal health and minimizing energy waste
  • Proven methane-mitigating ingredients; including one certified by the Carbon Trust

How do I use ProTect S?

Mix the pellet into the grain ensuring even distribution throughout the ration. For best results use a mixer feed wagon. Alternatively, add the prescribed concentration while auguring grain, taking care to achieve accurate grain flow rates.

  • Free from urea and hormones
  • Free from Lasalocid and Monensin
  • Nil withholding period, nil export slaughter intervals
  • Feed only to sheep
  • Do not feed wet, mouldy products to any animal

Introducing ProTect S to your animal’s diet

Include ProTect S prior to the commencement of any feeding program. Sudden introduction may evoke some sorting behaviour, generally this is overcome with time.

Emerging from the drought with a better business

1 July 2019

Wellington, NSW, sheep producers Scott and Anna Brien admit while getting through the current drought has been tough, it’s also been a blessing in disguise.

With a Merino stud, “Bella Lana”, and commercial sheep flock, the Brien’s had used supplementary feeding to finish lambs, prepare ewes for joining or lambing or to maintain condition on stud rams on an ad hoc basis over the years. However in 2018 Scott and Anna decided they needed to be more rigorous in their approach to grain feeding. Read more
