Greener Cattle Initiative Project

This multi-year project aims to identify beneficial probiotic species that out-compete Methanogens for utilisation of Hydrogen. The target species will be explored for use as alternative probiotics that could be used in conjunction with methane mitigant ingredients to mop up free hydrogen in the rumen to improve productivity and significantly reduce methane.

As a collaborator within the Greener Cattle Initiative, ProAgni will work with multiple stakeholders to share knowledge and accelerate the development of scalable and commercially-feasible technologies that reduce enteric methane emissions and enable the production of sustainable beef and dairy.

The Greener Cattle Initiative seeks to be a climate change solution that benefits producers, animals and the environment.
